All Homeflow website forms and email auto-responders will be updated ahead of the GDPR deadline.
A new Marketing Consent statement will be added, to ensure that you gain positive, opt-in consent to use your customer data for marketing purposes.
See our guide to making your website forms GDPR compliant.
The statement that will be automatically added to all Homeflow-hosted website forms is:
Get emails with the latest news and information on the local property market, our products and services. You can unsubscribe at any time.
You need to consider whether this default Marketing Consent statement meets the needs of your agency.
Does this statement cover all of the potential future uses of your marketing database?
If you materially change this consent statement in the future, you will need to re-contact your existing marketing database to ask them to re-consent to receiving emails. So it’s worth getting this statement right from the outset.
If this statement is appropriate for your agency, you don’t need to do anything. Your forms will automatically update before 25 May.
You may have forms on your website that are not hosted by Homeflow.
If you have third-party forms on your website, you will need to contact the provider to ensure that marketing consent is collected in a way that is compliant with GDPR and consistent with your Homeflow website forms.
