How to amend your GDPR Consent statement

Change the default Marketing Consent statement if required

Forms on Homeflow websites will be updated before 25 May

All Homeflow website forms and email auto-responders will be updated ahead of the GDPR deadline.

A new Marketing Consent statement will be added, to ensure that you gain positive, opt-in consent to use your customer data for marketing purposes.

See our guide to making your website forms GDPR compliant.

Default Marketing Consent statement

The statement that will be automatically added to all Homeflow-hosted website forms is:

You need to consider whether this default Marketing Consent statement meets the needs of your agency.

Does this statement cover all of the potential future uses of your marketing database?

If you materially change this consent statement in the future, you will need to re-contact your existing marketing database to ask them to re-consent to receiving emails. So it’s worth getting this statement right from the outset.

I have forms on my website which are not hosted by Homeflow – what do I do?

You may have forms on your website that are not hosted by Homeflow.

Examples include:

  • Review services e.g. Feefo
  • Email newsletter services e.g. Mailchimp
  • Lettings services e.g. Fixflo
  • Appointments services provided by your software provider
